“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy,to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship” Romans 12:1

Conversation is more than letting Jesus come into your heart. It is giving Him not only your heart but also your body, as a living sacrifice – Kathryn Kuhlman

One thing I have discovered in my walk with the Lord is somehow I know when I meet people who have been with the Lord. Whenever I meet a woman longing for more from God, I recognise the cry within her heart, what we have in common.

Kathryn Kuhlman was a God General in the 40s-70s, she operated in the healing ministry. All through the Bible we read about different types of God followers and chasers. Some followed for fish and bread, they were only interested in the freebies and perishable goods. Others followed as spectators, the news was out, Jesus the miracle worker and demon destroyer was in town and so they gathered to watch. Then there were those who wined and dinned with Jesus, his disciples, but yet they did not really know who he was, otherwise Jesus wouldn’t have asked them, “But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?”

Jesus was led to the cross, as a living sacrifice. He surrendered all and laid down His life for friends. The Bible describes this as a new level of worship, the true and proper worship. The stakes were raised at Calvary. Christ died. Christ is risen. The price was paid once and for all. There is no longer a need for anyone to shed blood for the remittance of our sin. BUT the sinful nature of man must be subdued by offering it back to God in surrender and in obedience that pleases God. This is true and proper worship.
